Glacier National Park (US)
Waterton Lakes (Canadian)

These picturesque red buses transport visitors
throughout the park.  They date from the 1930's, but
were recently re-built onto modern Ford truck chasses.

The road across the park, named Going to the Sun Highway, is
quite scenic, but is also narrow, with very steep drop offs.
Vehicles over 21 feet are prohibited.

The Prince of Wales hotel sits high atop a bluff, above
Waterton Lakes, in the Canadian portion of the park.

Yes! It snowed!  Logan's Pass, where Going To The
Sun Road crosses the Continental Divide, was
closed when we arrived.  They plowed it for hours to
open it the following day.  There had been drifts from
3 to 20 feet deep on the road.
