understory of rhododendron and
bamboo in the mountains of China
between 3,000 and 10,000 feet such as

Almost entirely bamboo.

Males are solitary in their large
territories and have occasional
familiarity with females in smaller
overlapping territories.

Extremely endangered.

Deforestation, territorial isolation and
poaching.
