Adirondacks Picture - The Porch: With this Adirondacks picture, enjoy the view from your
buttery colored wicker chair as you and your companion enjoy a piping hot buttered  muffin.  Follow the
vista from the pink geraniums across the wildflower painted meadow.   Picture a day sail on the crystalline,
Adirondacks lake alongside the stunning, forested mountain backdrop.  Enjoy the rich textures that are a
specialty of Lauran's work.  

Lauran Yates’ original picture, The Porch,  was inspired by a visit to the Adirondacks.    During a trip to the
Adirondacks,  she felt that she had returned to the past, and she began to picture the Adirondacks lakes
and mountains.  She has created a composite picture of the impressive Adirondacks visitas, and she has
combined the best elements of a quaint porch that she enjoyed in the Adirondacks.

In each of Lauran's paintings, she achieves a balance of geometric shapes.  Unconsciously, life moves in
twos.  She began exploring this philosophy in The Porch.  She has chosen two wicker chairs, two sailboats,
and two Adirondacks lawn chairs to symbolize her thoughts.

A signed and numbered, limited edition totaling 400 lithographs of Lauran Yates' original oil painting, The
Porch, is available for sale.  This has been her most popular piece.  Lithographs are printed on 100% acid
